The first month of school has flown by. We enrolled a lot of new students. We also saw many of our former students move and transfer to new schools. Good luck to all of them and we will miss them. I have been working on hard on filing test scores and arranging cumulative records. Please contact me if your child should be receiving any special services such as gifted, speech, SPED, or ELL and they are not being served.

September will bring my first large group counseling lessons. I will introduce and review the role of the school counselor. We will also review some basic conflict resolution tips and strategies. The concept of personal space will be visualized using a hoola hoop.

I will try to visit every classroom once a month for a 30 minute lesson. I will pick up with the topic of Bullying which was covered extensively last year.
